Our Enviroment Friendly Page! We want you to know that many of our wooden products are manufactured from the rubberwood tree. This special tree is grown for its sap, which is used to produce rubber. Historically the trees have been cut down and burned at the end of their productive life. Recently, however, the beautiful hardwood from these trees has been redirected and recycled into many wonderful uses. This wood has been chosen to create many of the fine products, in particular – Handy Starter Set, Hardwood Unit Blocks and Unit Blocks Marble Run of the Guidecraft Product Line. We are please to bring you a line of Environmentally Friendly Wood Toy Products.D and Me Products:Because of the recent toy recalls, we want to assure you that all the toys that are made by D and ME are made in Stevensville MT, USA. The colored pieces are a water base, child safe toy enamel applied by a factory in the United States. All of our wood comes from sustainable forests in the United States. The oiled finish we use is also on the "safe substances" list. Stack and Stick- All materials used in Stack and Stick toys comes from solid white hard maple from timber lots harvested in the USA. They do not use any dyes, chemicals, or toxic materials in their toys. They manufacture each of their products in Goshen, Indiana in a modern new production plant.
